Laser module does not hang vertically

I’m just new to owning a 22W Falcon 2. After ensuring that the surface is perfectly level and installing the feet correctly I note that the bottom of laser module is not sitting parallel with the surface.

This became apparent when I was setting the height using the supplied tiered block. When the module is lowered till it touches and then locked, I can see that when the block is removed, the front of the module drops slightly. This results in the module not sitting parallel to the surface.

On closer inspection, the rail is solid and it is the whole carriage that is tipping forward; should there be any play? Certainly doesn’t look like there is any adjustment to correct it so is mine damaged?

Thanks

It shouldn’t be a problem, mine does the same, a slight tilt forward once you remove the focus block. It will work fine.

Thanks for the sense-check. I just wasn’t sure if I was overthinking it but glad to hear that I was!

I’ll crack on then :+1:

Regards

Mine does that also. It becomes a problem when cutting 6mm plywood, edges of cut on the X axis are not square so do not sit well. Also if you cut a hole for say a dowel to fit the dowel leans over in the Y axis.
I think it is not good enough from Creality.
