Ender KE, ever since i changed the hot end bed leveling has been a nightmare and i cannot get the hot end high enough to get a first layer. Also it seems like the hot end is loose. Can anyone help,
I think you may have answered the question yourself.
You have changed the hotend and the hotend seems loose.
Strip the hotend down and double check everything. If it is loose then bed calibration will be a disaster. The load cell needs the nozzle to be rigid to get a proper reading.
I found the 2 screws holding the tip were very loose, thanks for you help
Hi
Glad to help, be aware that sometimes the screws supplied are not long enough and they barely screw in.
I changed the screws on my replacement Unicorn head to ones 5mm longer with better results.
Be sure to loosen the nozzle by heating to 240c, and then use two wrenches to loosen before you tighten the hotend. The nozzle may pull the hotend down. Once the hotend is level and tight, then heat again and use two wrenches to tighten the nozzle securely.
The second wrench is 12mm.
Thanks i will look into doing that
Thanks for the info, guess i better get the correct wrenches
