Multi Color Printing - Stock Ender 3 V3 KE using Crealty Print 7

I have recently started 3D printing…….I think I might be addicted…….no seriously I might have a PLA+ addiction.

Anyway lets feed the beast.

I want to print in multiple colours and have no problem doing the pause and swap method. Until I am in a less finically challenged position and can sort an AMS system, be that DIY (a choice I’d prefer) or buy off the shelf.

*Sidenote: If anyone has any links to step by step guides to self made AMS systems I’d be very interested.

Crealty Print gives great options on flushing and pauses absolutely fine. The preview tells me how many filament changes will be required too. My issue is knowing which colour it’s asking for. The only way I figured was to use the preview and slice to the point of a colour change and then take note of which colour is required.

So to print these beautiful butterflies

Was 3 colours and 11 filament changes.

Bit annoying it does all the other clever stuff but doesn’t say which filament I need. Unless I am being incredibly dumb. Which has happened before.

Any help with this would be awesome.

Bit of background. I am somewhat technically, mechanically and electronically minded. At least that’s what I told my boss to get my job. I’m still there so I must be doing something right. I can also be or at least seem to be awfully slow and particular in how I learn. So apologies ahead of time.

Thanks
