Hello everybody,
My Falcon 2 PRO 22W engraver lost half of its power all at once, I redo a test grid with the same wooden board and the same cutting parameters as when it was operating normally and there we see the difference and when I set my engraving settings as before it no longer works!
I changed the lens etc… but still the same.
Thanks for your help
Hi there.
Not sure if you know, but the 22 w laser is made up of 4 diodes focussed on the same spot.
Each diode is 6w, and the added strength of the beams make up the 22 w.
You can see an image on this page that may explain it better than me: Creality Falcon2 22W Laser Engraver
To me, what you describe seems ike one or more of the 4 diodes gave up.
I’d contact Creality about this - hope your engraver is still under waranty!
Good luck - keep us posted on how it turned out.
Thank you for replying to me, I think you are right, I took the head apart after posting my message and the management card which is at the top was very dirty knowing that I received my engraver in March and it didn’t work much! I will check for the warranty,
THANKS
Hi.
I have the same problem with my laser.
What was your solution?
Thank you
Hi,
I still haven’t resolved the problem, I’m waiting for a response from the seller.
Hi.
My problem is solved…
Due to a new installation of Lightburn I forgot to change the settings from CO2 laser to diode laser (mm/min instead of mm/s). The Creality support helped me to figure it out.
Hi Paulo
i have a similar issue did you get any feedback from Creality
i have power coming to the head but i am not able to see or test the diodes
how did you test or see if the diodes were working i was consider a direct 5v to the primary cable but still waiting to see if there is another way to test
Ideally if i could get a complete top section with controller and cable i this this might be where my issue is cause i had a cardboard fire go through mine
Hi,
No, they did not find the problem and my seller must take it back from me under warranty,
I think my problem is due to a return of the laser beam to an engraving on a shiny stainless steel plate?
Hello there,
I am experiencing the same problem, and I have done everything from cleaning to changing the lens, checking the wiring and airflow. The original poster’s image of the material test could as well be mine. I have reached out to the support to hear if it’s possible to get a new laser head. I will probably not try to open the laser head though.
Though I can’t think of a reason how this happened. I have only cut and engraved wood.
I’ll let you know here in case someone else experiences the same again.
I just had this happen too. I was cutting and engraving fine on Tuesday, and then on Thursday it can barely cut through paper. A leather patch that used to engrave at 6000 speed and 12 power doesn’t even get dark at 300 speed and 60 power.
I am sorry to hear that. As I have the same problem and the official support is not reachable for me, I’d like to point you to my own thread where people compiled some ideas what to do: Falcon2 22W lost more than half of its power - #7 by RodriguezLosWochos
So I don’t have to copy it all here.
Hope that yours is just a temporary problem.
