New firmware for creality HI V1.1.0.72

Since the last “Creality Hi” update, the camera image has disappeared. It works fine from Fluidd or the mobile app. By the way, I use the Nebula via USB, and I simply disconnect the built-in camera, and it’s never given me any problems.

Hi everyone,

After updating Creality Print to V7.1.1.4472, the camera on my Creality Hi Combo stopped working in the software.

I downgraded to V7.0.0.4212, and the camera started working again right away.

It seems the issue may be related to the latest update. Has anyone else had the same problem?

What firmware is your printer on?

i think he is saying with the new printer firmware 0.72, the camera works on creality print v7.0.0.4127

My printer is running firmware version 1.1.0.72, and the CFS is on version 1.4.2.

Its the new version 0.72 firmware that is the cause of the camera issue, not Creality Print. No need to go backwards in the software, only the printer firmware if the camera means alot to you.

In my case, I kept the printer firmware updated to 1.1.0.72 and only downgraded Creality Print to V7.0.0.4212. After that, the camera worked again.

Interesting, I’ll give that a try.

Rather strange situation we have here in that it does not seem to be the new firmware bricking the camera, but a strange combination of software and firmware.

I concur that the older Creality Print 7.0.1.4212 shows the new firmware version 0.72 camera.

I also tried Creality Print version 7.1.0.4414 but that also has the camera bricked.

Very odd.

Has anyone contacted Creality? I sent an email that they haven't replied to.
It's not normal that there's been no news from them after almost 10 days since the update.

They did this same thing with the K2 Pro but many caight it early and reloaded 1.1.4.4 from the defective v1.1.5.5.

I have turned off the version update check option but it still initiates pestware constantly.

I will wait until I hear Creality has seen the error of their ways before allowing any further updates.

Why remove features people want?

im intrested on what you said, you think 1.1.0.50 is the best firmware of the creality HI because of motor steps being lost in the other versions? i found ghosting/ layer shift sometimes on 0.65 and 0.72. never tried 0.50

I’m having nothing but problems with the new firmware, too. The camera has stopped working, and—even worse—I keep getting a CX-2573 (X-axis homing) error.
How can I revert to the old firmware?

I would just to clear up any misconception about any of my comments on the latest 0.72 firmware issue breaking the camera.

It would appear that this issue is partially related to Creality Print 7.1.1.4472 for Windows clients only.

The newest Creality Print software was working fine on Windows up until the new 0.72 printer firmware was released recently. Then it broke the camera. This creates the impression that it’s the new firmware causing the issue, but it’s specific to the Windows version only.

The new version 0.72 printer firmware is displaying the built-in camera correctly on Creality Print 7.1.1.4472 for Linux software clients. So there’s no problem with the 0.72 firmware from a Linux perspective.

So in my humble opinion, it’s a Windows specific firmware related issue.

On the quality side I have printed several tall items that should show layer shifts easily if they were to ever occur, but have not noticed any layer shifts or degradation or change in the print quality through all three versions of firmware since v1.1.0.50. with over 700 plus print hours so far.

I found v1.1.0.48 at Creality, but not the v1.1.0.50.

I installed 48 now, and everything is working fine again.
