Hello, I get a pretty good result with Creality Print V4. But not with V5 or the Orcaslicer. I used the same settings as far as I can tell, but the same model only sticks with Creality Print V4. Does anyone have the same problem or know what the cause could be.
Is there a setting that I have to change from the default settings? I have adjusted the print and bed temperature like in V4, otherwise everything is by default.
Assuming that your buildplate is properly cleaned you might want to adjust the Z-offset. I find my V3SE needs the Z offset lowering by 0.05-0.01mm once that adjustment is dialled in it will stay there, on future prints (at least for now) print a 5 wide skirt with your models, you can check the Z-offset is correct before the main print begins. Avoid calibrating every print as it will undo the Z offset that you have just set. Once you get it right it will stay set, until you calibrate or change nozzles.
I experimented with different z offsets. 0.05 mm down helped. I still don’t understand why the z offset depends on whether I’m working with V4 or V5 of Creality Print.
Thanks for the help
I can’t use 5 on my V3SE but can on my V3KE, on the SE it just gives up doing layers properly, fine in 4.8.3. Tried 4.9.3-beta and that didn’t work in much the same way as 5. Not repeated the experiment since removing the SE from Sonic Pad and putting it back to the original Marlin screen. I’ll see if I can get some time to play. Too busy with my new Qidi (even that needs z-offset tweaks)
