Please help Ender 3 KE

My Ender KE printer suddenly broke down. It takes a very long time to turn on, after which it asks you to register in the Creality Cloud or reboot. The temperature of the table and nozzles does not show. In the web interface it says “E0003: key2560communication abnormal reboot”. What is wrong with me?
I wrote in support of Creality, they do not respond.

Factory reset?

Like @Bonfireman suggested, but if that proves unsuccessful, unplug it for as long as you can stand it (Prob about a minute but aim for an hour), the lather, rinse, repeat.
Let us know if it works!
Cheers!

No, this doesn’t help, the printer board must have died. Technical support, as always, does not respond. Probably shouldn’t count on it. Everyone who buys Creality printers should know about this.

I don’t know what caused that error ie what is abnormal reboot. Not seen that error on my KE. I think the best advice for would be printer owners is get it off Amazon, easier to return. In case you or anyone else wants a KE motherboard, less than £25 on Aliexpress might get me a spare “just in case”

When examining the printer board, a faulty GD32 chip and a 3.3V voltage regulator were found. I’ll figure it out further.

That’s a pretty good diagnosis. These units are mass produced and it’s always possible for a faulty part to get out the door. I work in electronics and sometimes you get a unit that test good but fails shortly there after in the field.

Also in regards to Creality support, I had good luck with them. My initial email was responded to in about 48 hours, and parts I requested had already been approved and were on the way from China. So from first email to parts at my door was about 1-2 week(s) from China to California. Not too shabby.

I think that there is probably not a lot of ‘technical’ support as there is ‘after sales support’, meaning parts replacement. I hope you are able to get a new board soon, don’t forget to update the firmware.

I am having the same issue with my KE. I’ve had it on without turning it off in a while. I turned it off to replace the nozzle and when I turned it back on I received a 2560 communication abnormal error and now I am receiving an abnormal nozzle error during its checks after I factory reset it. I tried downloading the Creality firmware Ender-3_V3_KE_F005_ota_img_V1.1.0.15.img Oct 16, 2024 and had no luck when plugging in the usb with new firmware. I am going to be ordering a motherboard soon, but if anyone has found a way to fix this issue I would really appreciate it.
