Printing fails at the same spot no matter what is printed

Greetings all, I have an Ender-3 KE that used print just fine, now it just fails printing on the same spot on the bed no matter what job/model I send it. There is no error message, just fails and the head stays down at that spot. Any thoughts, Thanks, Tim

Is this always with the models centered on the plate?

Have you tried printing a model positioned near one of the corners?

Do you have a bit more information, is it a specific z height, or a specific xy location where it stops?

Good idea, I’ll try that moving the print to the corner. Even the built in boat fails the same way.

As for z height, it’s always just after the first layer is printed. I don’t know how to determine X and Y but it sure looks the exact same spot on the bed.

Provide a photo of the display screen when it fails.

the screen on the printer itself? It goes back to an idle screen. No errors, no nothing. The print just stops and the head is down and the screen goes to idle.

Do you mean the main screen that shows the 4 options, Print, Prepare, Control and Leveling?

UPDATE: updating the printer to the latest firmware seems to have solved the issue. Thanks all.

Although, it is pretty strange that the exact same gcode printed just fine a month or two ago, I am using the gcode stored in the KE, not sending new code.

Good to hear you found resolution. I didn’t know the machine stored gcode, how do you access that?

@markbdusted Sorry, I thought I answered you. On the Ender-3 V3KE gcode is stored locally and you can access it from the file folder icon/menu. Hope that helps. Tim
