… yes really When i follow the instructions for my V3 SE for flashing the screen, the description says:
Display firmware update:
…
2. Put the file “TJC_SET” into the TF card.
3. Turn off the printer and Insert the TF card into the card slot on the left side of the screen.
etc
But
a/ the RAR has a FOLDER TJC_SET, not a file
b/ and inside the folder is a file called tjc.tft. This is a file with a different name and an extension.
Should i place the folder with tjc.tft in the root of the card? Or the folder? Tried both, but the update hangs…
Oke, instructions from Creality self are not correct (for me at least)
1/ The firmware from Creality 1.06 is corrupted. You should use 1.04.
for reference: don’t use Ender-3 V3 SE_HWCR4NS200320C13_SWV1.0.6_GD303 from this official page. At least, in my case.
2/ The guide on the American website states that you’ve to copy the folder to the TF-card. So folder with the .tft- file. This should be altered in the instructions.
3/ Instructions said ‘format in 4096 allocation bite size using’. But using a a 256mb card the printer itself (!!!) asked for FAT32. Fat32 can’t be in 4096 allocation
What I did with mine was to open the folder with firmware and copy the file to the TF card, put the card into the printer, boot up the printer and wait for the firmware to install. Once it’s installed, remove the TF card or the printer will try and install the software again. It worked fine BUT the instructions on the website said to copy the folder. I know from experience that the printer won’t read a folder by itself.
Is the TF card originally formatted as FAT32? My printer (Ender 3-KE) has difficulty reading anything that isn’t FAT32.
