SE needs improvement or do I have a lemon?

I spend more time fixing, repairing, re-calibrating. leveling, etc.
It goes out of alignment often, has leveling issues constantly, the vertical screws come loose and have to be realigned., etc. Did I get a lemon or are others having these issues?

Hello 1seniorgeek,
If it is the V3 SE, I have not had any problems since unboxed.

I have not changed or adjusted anything (apart from getting the Sonic Pad for it).

I have never had need to alter the Z offset…It just prints fine.

Cheers.

WOW, I am surprised because this is the second SE I have bought and both have given me problems.

I also have an SE and hasn’t given me any problems so far for almost a year now.
I bought and installed the nebula pad kit (Pad and G Sensor) and the filament sensor too, I think it’s still a good choice.
I would advise you to unscrew every single screw and use some thread locker such as Loctite to prevent they come loose again (the blue, not the red one), it has worked for me, instead of spending lots of printing hours and filament printing supports and “up grades” you can find searching online. I hope this helps.

As Rafael_Gomez said,

Don’t add upgrades as they really are not needed (unless to a Sonic or Nebula Pad, that will require firmware upgrade).

Other than the Sonic Pad, mine is as I bought it.

I use CP version 5.1.6xxx as anything after that has problems (not just with the V3 SE).

If you do still find you have a lemon, send it back and spend the extra and get a Qidi Pro1… “Bullet Proof” .

Cheers.

I upgraded to the linear rail on X as the wheels were wearing down quickly
