My device is making a sound like a saw—as if someone were cutting wood with a handsaw. What is the cause of this problem? The device is brand new—only a few days old—and I experienced a nozzle clog once.
Hello, try removing the decorative cover and testing the printing without it; Chris DD96 a regular forum member wrote about this—it was the cover itself that was making the noise. In my case, applying a thicker lubricant helped.
I removed the cover, and the same noise problem persists.
Try adding lubricant; if that doesn’t help, check its movement and listen for any noise. I also developed an unusual noise in my new printer, even though I hadn’t done much printing by then; I removed the print head and checked the guide rail—it was fine—and I frequently lubricated the rails.
I didn’t buy a printer; I bought a problem machine. Creality Cloud doesn’t work properly; I can’t even start a print over LAN—I have to try 9 or 10 times. If anyone sees this post: definitely do not buy the Sparkx i7. The service is terrible. There is no support.
Anyone reading this post has likely already purchased the Sparkx.
I haven’t run into any major issues with the printer; it works and prints just fine. Every device has its flaws—I take a philosophical view on this: real people are involved everywhere, and like anyone else, they are prone to making mistakes. I’m not trying to defend Creality, but in my own dealings with technical support, I received answers to all my questions and got immediate assistance. Often, problems arise simply from a lack of basic knowledge or a failure to fully understand the subject matter; with the early-generation printers, almost everything had to be done manually, yet that didn’t stop anyone. I encourage you not to fear challenges and to take imperfections in stride—it will make life easier for you. Good luck resolving any issues with your printer, and happy printing.
Hi, I had the same problem with the noise. In my case, the noise wasn’t coming directly from the motor, but the motor was actually causing the problem. I replaced it, and the noise disappeared. Apparently, the motor was generating vibrations that were being transferred to the extruder, which caused the strange noise.
