I never thought I’d have to write this, but my experience with Creality has been nothing short of outrageous, and I feel obligated to warn others. What I’ve been through is a cautionary tale about what you might face if you choose to buy from them.
Here’s my story: I purchased what was advertised as an open-box Ender 3. What arrived was a broken, poorly refurbished unit. From day one, I’ve been stuck in a maddening cycle of contacting Creality for help—nearly two months of daily messages—only to be ignored most of the time.
When they finally responded, they promised either all-new replacement parts or a brand-new unit. But when the replacement package arrived, guess what? It contained incorrect items that didn’t solve the problem. This wasn’t what was agreed upon, and I’m still stuck with a useless printer.
It’s not just poor service—it feels deliberately deceptive. I’ve given them every chance to make things right, but Creality has failed time and time again. I can’t believe a company with such a reputation would resort to these shady tactics, ignoring its customers after taking their money.
I’m sharing this to warn anyone considering Creality products: think long and hard before you trust them with your hard-earned cash. The frustration, lack of accountability, and outright disrespect for customers aren’t worth it.
Creality, if you’re reading this: It’s time to step up and do what’s right. I expect proper compensation—a new, fully functional unit as promised—and for this issue to be resolved immediately. Ignoring customers only tarnishes your brand and reputation.
For those who’ve been burned by Creality too, let’s unite and make our voices heard. It’s time we hold them accountable. Share your experiences below, and let’s ensure no one else goes through this.
So… You bought an open box machine that had problems…?
Just curious about some details you left out like the vendor you bought it from and what exactly is refurbished…?
What was the warranty on that open box refurbished unit…?
I understand you are upset but there are many more who have contacted support and received the correct parts and support. Don’t be so quick to condemn as we are only hearing your side of the story which isn’t fair to Creality…
Just tell people what happened and leave all the accusations and judgements out.
I need to bring attention to Creality’s ongoing failure to honor their commitments and properly handle customer service issues. After purchasing a printer that arrived defective, Creality agreed to provide $30 compensation. However, after more than 4 months, I have received neither a working printer nor the promised compensation despite multiple attempts to resolve this through their customer service channels. This pattern of behavior is unacceptable from a company that claims to value their customers. The continued silence and failure to honor a documented agreement for compensation demonstrates a concerning lack of accountability and respect for customer rights.@Creality3D@CrealityOfficial
Your company has:
Failed to provide a functional product
Broken a written agreement for compensation
Ignored multiple attempts at resolution
Left a customer without recourse for over 4 months
I am publicly sharing this experience to:
Alert other potential customers
Seek immediate resolution
Hold Creality accountable
The 3D printing community deserves to know about these business practices. I expect immediate action to resolve this situation and honor the agreed-upon compensation.#Creality#CustomerService#3DPrinting#ConsumerRights#CrealityFail[Feel free to share and tag relevant consumer advocacy groups and 3D printing community leaders]
The printer was purchased from Creality3D Official Store on eBay, which is Creality’s verified official eBay storefront - not a third-party seller. According to eBay’s specific definition, “Open Box” means:
The item is in excellent condition with no wear
The item may be missing the original packaging or protective wrapping
The item may be in the original packaging but not sealed
The item includes original accessories
The item may be a factory second
This is distinctly different from “refurbished” - these are two separate categories on eBay with different definitions and expectations.
However, the core issue isn’t about the product condition. There is extensive documentation of Creality’s systematic customer service problems:
An “F” rating with the BBB due to 56 unresolved complaints
Consistent pattern of ignored support tickets
Widespread reports of months-long delays without resolution
1.4/5 stars on SiteJabber with similar complaints
The $30 refund issue has now dragged on for over 3 months with various excuses, including blaming eBay’s systems - which doesn’t align with eBay’s standard refund capabilities. While some customers may have positive experiences, the volume and consistency of documented issues across multiple platforms suggests this isn’t an isolated incident but rather points to systemic problems with their customer service infrastructure.
These aren’t accusations but rather documented facts about their business practices. The goal isn’t to condemn but to provide accurate information about real customer service experiences to help others make informed decisions.
I would have bought it off Amazon, can return things easily on there. Never trusted eBay after my mate bought a couple of iPhones, delivered were iphone boxes with rocks inside. Sure my BiL bought a car that turned out to be cut’n’shut.
I have been a buyer from ebay since october 2007 ; once had an issue (about 2 years ago) where the item (old valve radio) was badly packaged and arrived broken.
I took it up with them and it was refunded. No hassle.
I have been a prime member with Amazon (faster deliveries) for a couple of years.
Had a problem with an item 6 months into the warranty. It was replaced in 1 day. No problem.
There are 2 things regards buying from either .
If it is too cheap, there is likely something dodgy .
I would never buy anything un boxed without full refund available with free return postage.
