Hello
I just bought K2 with CFS, with original CR filament prints was ok, now with generic PETG I have problems with top layer, pics below, I tried flow rate, presaure advanced etc…I have old printer CR10SPro and prints are still superb. Filament is the same ln old and on K2. Any new idea ?
Fairly bulging seam lines and bobbly surface, I wonder if your flowrate is a little too high for that filament. I would drop it 10-15% to see if it improves.
I’m not understand in filament settings i’m setting flow ratio, and then in fluidd is flow 100% all the prints are disaster on top layer. is it possible that the softwer does not use the settings ?
I don’t have much luck changing it in the slicer, I think perhaps the firmware overrides it. If I change it in Fluidd or at the printer it works…even with Orca so i am missing that piece of the puzzle too, so I keep changing it on-the-fly.
I will try to change on the fly …but common…2025 , printer was not cheap, but prints worst than 8 years old printer ?? I must say RFID filament works superb…the rest parameters still in the air…
Print on 8 years old Creality…slow I know, but…
changing it in orca slicer should work as orca doesnt deliver a flowrate to the gcode but the absolute movement commands for the extruder motor. The flowration the adjusts this but at 100% it should always be the same.
I was having these troubles aswell and i noticed that it gies away once i dried the filament.
In orca you can also change the flow for the top and bottom solid infill.
Filament is completly dry, I even try to print from 230 deg C to 260 dec C, pict of last 2 prints, any ideas ?
Do you have the chamber heater active?
Enabeling Small Area Flow Compensation helped for me aswell.
Did you create a filament profile for your filament? Maybe like described here?
You need to define it and set it to the filament you use.
On top of that I would use Concentric
or Archimedean Chords
top layer for round or not rectangle top layers and I maybe would set Smal area flow compensation
to achieve nicer tops.
I use this as my standards in Orca and CP6 prints on K2+.
I wonder what version of the firmware @Sasolicer is running because I found this in my START_PRINT:
'# M221 S100 ;Reset Flowrate
I’m not sure how to escape hash symbols so that apostrophe at the beginning is mine, not what’s in the file.
