I’m new to the group and have some pre-purchase questions.
I’m upgrading from an Ender 3 Pro that I’ve just about worn out and am looking at the K2Pro and K2Plus. Aside from the obvious weight and size differences and higher temp capability of the Plus, are there any pros or cons for selecting one over the other? Is the print quality and precision equal between the two?
I’ve also read about some build plate warp issues on the Plus in the past but it seems to be from earlier this year (growing pains?). Does anyone have more recent negative experiences with this issue?
Any and all feedback on your experiences with these two printers is appreciated.
I’ve had the K2 Pro with the CFS (300 x 300) now for a couple months using it just as a hobby for design projects and have no real complaints. I did have to replace the filament cutter which is pretty easy. One thing I noticed on this one was the lack of accuracy of the build plate temperature. Setting it at 60°C shows 55°C or lower in some spots so that’s something to watch. My Ender-3 V3 and the V3 Plus have good accuracy on the build plates just for comparison. No mods or rooting other than a CFS riser designed by @Darren3dPrint. Great addition by the way.
I don’t have any comment on the K2 plus other that it is quit a bit bigger (350 x 350) so it would depend on how much work space room you have. Might be my next one.
I did a initial review of K2 Pro here when I first got it:
