Hi, I installed the nebula kit and since then ive had 0 successful prints! im looking to remove it so i can actually get printing again but im unsure on how to actually do this? any ideas?
Hello NickaHoughron,
I don’t have one connected to mine, but soon will have the Sonic Pad, so my approach to doing so would me similar.
Look at what you followed to install it originally and do the reverse.
This most likely would also be any firmware/software changes you did.
I think the better thing to do, is see if someone here can help you with getting it working first.
Cheers.
As an experiment I removed my V3SE from the Sonic Pad, you have to reflash the Marlin firmware to the machine but I did struggle to get the screen to work properly again. I would possibly try that and then refit the Nebula pad, I reconnected my Sonic pad and it will reflash the printer with its firmware. You say no successful prints, could you expand on that please.
Tried that one already haha it was a nightmare to install! Had to contact Creality about it
Since I’ve installed it I’ve not been able to get off the first couple of layers, before installing the nebula pad I fitted the ceramic hot end and started getting a lot better quality prints but since the nebula pad I’ll get random lumps of filament on the print bed which then causes the nozzle to pull the print off the bed
I wonder if the rotation distance is correct. I know that when I connected my Ender 5 plus it would default to 33.23 which is fine except I have a direct drive fitted so have to change it to 7.53 to print without underextrusion. My V3SE on the Sonic Pad has a rotation distance of 7.53 also, prints perfectly with that setting.
Honestly I’ve no idea what any of that means
So I can’t even check for you haha still newish this is my first printer
its the distance the filament travels per rotation of the stepper motor. It is similar to esteps if you were running Marlin but you are now running Klipper. You should be able to find it in the advanced settings menu.
One thing I forgot to mention is that I had to go back to CP4.3.8 for my V3SE and sonic pad to print perfectly. If I use 5.xx or above it fails miserably.
so I between me attempting to raise the dead and everything inbetween to get this to work I just gave it up as a bad job and bought the K1 Gave the SE to a friend who works in cad design and CNC stuff thought if anyone could get it working will be him and he’ll fully appreciate and use it to its max!
Let us know the outcome, did he fix it or have to replace bits that sort of thing.
