V3 KE - Error key 2401/automatic height anomaly/leveling sensor failure

Strange day today. One of my 4 KEs decided it didn’t want to print any longer. It printed 10 minutes prior without issue, and when I selected the SAME print, I get “error key 2401”, selecting “ok” flashes “automatic height anomaly” then quickly goes back to the 2401 message.

All my printers were on 1.1.0.12, working fine, but for sport I updated this problem printer. I’ve done over 50 prints with this one alone so I’m perplexed.

I’ve done the following:

  • Verified physical connections to the motherboard, the extruder, and the CR Touch
  • Verified (and for fun switched it) the power voltage and changed the power cord
  • Updated the firmware as above
  • Spoke nicely to it / swore at it

Any ideas or am I due to contact support?

Could be that the CRtouch sensor has failed, they seem to fail more readily the a BLtouch or the strain sensor under the bed has broken. I would try and contact support. I don’t now how to test these 2 items without a second printer to try it on.

You’ve been a fount of knowledge today for me. I have three other KEs that I could test them on, however they are operational and printing stuff. I’ll just reach out to support.

Thanks man!
