Any reason why the x,z and extruder stepper motors are silent but there seems to be an awful lot of noise coming from the y (bed) stepper? reminds me of my original ender 3 with the 1.1.4 8 bit board.
Ensure the belt on your Y axis is not loose. On bed slingers it is common for the Y axis stepper to be slightly noisier due to the fact that it is moving the whole bed back and forth.
I am having an odd issue with my stepper motor too. my printer is less than 1 month old but now its having a hard time spinning the gear to turn the y belt and makes a ton of noise it will start to turn if i manually push on the bed plate and the belt feels fine. I just ordered a stock replacement becasue cheap and not worth the time to open a support ticket. If this is the quality of the steppers does anyone know if there are any good aftermarket swaps that are plug and play that are higher quality or should i resign my self to buying the things in bulk?
