Hello Bonfireman,

prosecco and Guinness stuff of champions.
I’ve had similar issues running recent versions on Creality Slicer on a new Win 11 machine. My work around is to direct Windows to run the program in “Compatibility Mode” as if it was Windows 7.
I was at my whit’s end yesterday setting up a new laptop and printer, and tried this tweak- finally the program is behaving. It seems the programmers haven’t kept the software up to all of the new settings in the newest Windows versions, meaning we’ve got to have our Windows operating system talk to the software like a seventh grader.
Close all instances of the problem program you might have running.
[Right click] on the program icon or file (on desktop or in File Explorer) that you initiate the program with.
Select “Properties” from the drop down list.
[Click] on the "Compatibility " tab on the popup window from the 6 options available.
[Check] the box under “Compatibility Mode” for “Run this program in compatibility mode.”
Select “Windows 7” in the drop down box for this selection.
[Click] the “Apply” button in the bottom right corner of the window.
Cross fingers/toes, pray to deity of your choice, [Click] program icon to see if this resolved your issue.
Let me know if this helped any of you guys.
Hello TrailH4x,
I am afraid that if the Software Development team are THAT incompetent that that is what I would have to do to make their program work, then, NO.
There is plenty of other slicer software that just SIMPLY works.
I am doing without version 6 and all is working fine.
Cheers.
I’m having good luck with it so far. Still cant send direct to klipper but at least I can now add the device to the web interface into fluidd/mainsail without needing to use a seperate browser. So thank you for that! Printing now a 10hr print on the svo3
Guess you must be up north then. Nice and sunny and sizzling in the midlands. LOL
Post updated (6.0.0.1048):
Issues still persists - Dragging window around causes a huge amount of lag to it as if it’s not rendering fast enough.
Bed plate temperature bug - if you set to Textured PEI Plate, only changing the Smooth PEI plate in filament settings, will change Textured PEI plate.
Why is it so hard to fix even just the bed plate bug, Creality?
Anyone know what this is for and why is it trying to reach that page?
…to find this page, I clicked on the Device tab and then cycled through using CTRL+TAB
North, lol, the other direction, I’m closer to France than London.
Ahhhhhh, Dover.
Bit further along the coast
Anyone having issues printing with v6.0
Using V3 KE but prints keep failing.
Went back to v5 and prints fine.
Can you describe how it is failing?
Just got error print_fail_reason_2243
According to Creality Wiki try a different slicer, not much of an answer but certainly looks like V6 is the problem and not your printer.
I’m using CP ver 6. Works ok for me. I have K1 Max and K2 Plus. The K2 has 2 CFS units attached. I have not had any problems using CP 6. Have you tried to create a new project? Projects from CP 5 might give you some issutes.
I have had all sorts of issues since switching to Creality Print 6. All of my PETG prints have had issues with constant error codes concerning filament clog (in which there were none) and retract issues, and CMS which have led to several failed prints. I have taken the extruder apart several times to find it clear with no clog. I also went through the CMS Unit and found nothing visable wrong. I decided to reprinted a succesful PETG file sliced with Creality Print 5 and everything went fine. this led me to reslice the faulty Creality 6 slices in Creality 5 and 1 print in but everything seems to be working fine. (One note: I haven’t had any issues printing with PLA). Has anyone else had similar issues?
So V6 doesn’t see my Sonic pad or anything connected to it despite manually entering the IP address. Orca can see both printers and show them in Fluidd. This includes my Ender 5 plus which V6 completely ignores. Rather a poor show Creality.
Buttons are hidden… problem of windows wrong sized… click on the window… and press CTRL and - several times.
Hello @CREALITY ,
For a number of days now, many people have posted about faults with their printers when installing Creality Print version 6.
Does Creality monitor this/their forum at all ?
Could we please have some response regards what steps are being taken to address the problems you appear to have created.
WE await your reply.
Thank you.
