Creality Print version 6 "Problems"

Hi there…I have one of those stupid questions.
Where did they put “sent to printer or print” for the Ender 3V3 Plus? I installed CrealityPrint_6.0.4.1793_Release and how no idea how to send the file once sliced to print.
I started with version 5 and now back at version 5 because it still works for my printers.

Thanks

Hello again to those that check this thread,

I have just installed CrealityPrint_6.0.4.1795 to see if anything has changed.

Yes ! … it has changed what was broken before,so for me it is now working.
I did not uninstall version 5.1.6xxx, I just installed it.

Set it up for the V3SE and also for the Q1Pro.

The V3SE is on a sonic pad for its wifi and is not found by device/scan but can be entered manually, after which it seems to remember it.

It has also retained filaments created for each printer.

Early times, but so far impressed that they actually fixed something.

@Bonfireman have a try now with your setup and let us know.

Cheers all.

You can’t access them via the IP address but you can via device>manual add>other http:\IP address, Not how it used to be how it was accessed and also the Ender 5 Plus is still not on the list of printers, so it is hobbled still. Orca you can access via IP address, though it is a little quirky if the address changes. 2 major improvements for Creality Print is find the Sonic pad properly and to have Sonic Pad/Creality Print to access more than one camera, if the programmers can do that I would be super happy.

Hello @Bonfireman ,

I avoid that happening with my wifi by assigning each a permanent IPv4 address (due to the printers only being on 2.4Ghz).

That aside, it certainly looks like Creality has more to fix with version 6.xxx (it still should be called 6 Beta) …

Are you around @Lu_Zhang

Neither routers that I have access to allow assigning a fixed IP address, which is a real pain.

first time trying creality print, and i notice when setting it up, theres no choice for a cr6se? should i choose printer setup as an ender 3 s1? the only option it gives in the cr series is the cr10.

WHY have @CREALITY included printers from other brands such as Qidi, yet many of Creality’s own models are not available.

There is something very wrong with their software department’s priorities.

Hello all once again,

Just tried the latest version 6.5xxx, it is not any better regards my V3SE with the sonic pad.
Where as with version 5.1.6xxx it would be found in devices by doing a scan, version 6.5xx has to be found manually and then does not assign it’s name and also does not give fluidd access.

So to me, they STILL can’t get it right, they have just mucked up what was once ok.

Orca simply works !

Hi i was having the same issues with V6 (Mac) but on my laptop you can install each as a separate program so i has 5.xx and 6.xxx that early feb version of v6 was cranky but todays version V6.0.5.1840 seems to print ok. there are things missing on V6 though the most thing i wanted was the calibration files

I can’t get 6 to work at all.
The supports are OVERKILL, there’s one like every 0.1 millimeter on Auto.
The measuring tool is buggy
I can’t get my printer group to save in the program and have to resync and add every time I use it
I can’t sign in at all
The UI is more complex then it was on 5
Filaments don’t sync over
All your preferences and stuff on 5 is not on 6
I haven’t even had a chance to start a print on 6 its that bad
I don’t know what they did to the new program and why we Must download 6 but I am switching back to 5 because it was so much easier and better then what 6 would ever be

I totally agree.!

That is why I use Orca.

HOLA DESDE QUE ME PIDIO QUE ACTUALIZE A LA VERSION 6 ME DEJO DE FUNCIONAR NO ME DETECTA LA IMPRESORA. QUEDA EN ENVIAR A IMPRIMIR TODO NEGRO.

@Lu_Zhang Hello to you,

How many versions of Creality 3D printers (stock standard) do you have access to for trying your slicer version on ?

It would also be interesting to know the type of computer and windows version.

This would be no doubt interesting to know for those having troubles to reference to.

Thank you,

Awaiting your reply.

I’m baaaaak,

Well, I simply just had to try version 6.1.0.2041…why not ? , anything for a lark !

They have not got it right still and I wonder if they ever will.
I have counted 7 releases in the last 4 months (nearly 1 every 2 weeks) and it is still broken.

Maybe roll it back to version 5.1.6xxx and simply add newer printers and leave it alone (maybe call it a Beta whilst at it).

If they really are set on doing version 6.xxxxx, why not constantly have someone (other than a passing Lulu) come to this forum and read through ALL of the problems it has caused to date and not release it till they are ALL fixed.

I think they tend to focus on just one issue and then go…here you are folks, a new update.

Will they git it right ? … doubt it unless they actually read this (their) forum daily and take notes.

Ok, my next step is to run for President.

Cheers.

Never had a problem with the Creality Slicer until now. v6.1.0.2041 lost all my filaments and it won’t add them back in! What a pain in the arse!

Time to try Orca slicer!

Good move :+1:

Having this weird Surface artifact bug. Screenshot from orca slicer for comparison

Copy from my post in another thread …

So, I downloaded and ran the CrealityPrint_6.1.1.2148_Beta.

Bloody useless !

It still will not find my Ender V3SE or attached Sonic Pad when scanning for a device.

Yet, version 5.1.6xxxx has no trouble at all connecting.

Total waste of my time once again with all of the version 6’s…

I won’t bother trying their next attempt and stick with Orca.
