so i’ve tried from 45 to 65 with no luck.
I’ve messed with the z offset and thought i was making progress then nope, pulled away again.
only thing i can think of is maybe trying this paper method? to set the z offset ?

I’m at a loss. I am printing 7 lens covers in TPU on a 30C bed on my V3 SE (same bed as the KE) have used glue stick I must admit. Printed an articulated shark last night in blue/black PLA on my KE, no glue stick, no issues. An airgun holder on my Ender 5 plus, black PLA just fine. Nailing that Z offset is the key, with or without glue stick.
After much more troubleshooting, I think i got it figured out.
Looks like my z off set was still too high. Used the paper trick and it started printing just fine. go figure
What is the “paper trick”? I looked through every post and don’t see it. I’m having same issue. This is the fifth printer I’ve owned (first Creality), so I’m not new to this, and although I really like auto-leveling, I had better success with manual leveling. I know the usual tricks, like glue stick and hair spray, which usually do the trick, but they’re not working for me this time. Been adjusting Z offset, but prints are still pulling off. What was your final solution? Thanks in advance! Max
Hello @Maxheadspace …!
Welcome to the Creality Forum…!
Which machine are you using …?
What was your final Z offset adjustment…? It should work getting the nozzle closer.
You also need to make sure the plate is cleaned at least with IPA alcohol…
Did I mention dry filament…?
This video might give you some insight on how to level with a piece of paper…
I think the paper trick is setting your initial z-offset/height with a piece of paper, 80gsm photo copier paper is 0.1mm so your nozzle will effectively be at a known 0.1mm from the bed.
i WOULD BE WILLING TO BET THE FARM THAT OP’S GANTRY ISNT LEVEL!! Everyone seems to forget this little bit of info and it is absolutely detrimental in getting accuracy.
